Save Time And Money On Theme Park Days
Many people, especially families, can be put off visiting big theme parks because of the costs. Once you ve added up the entry fee, the on-site catering, the travel, the souvenirs and any other expenses, it can turn out to be an expensive day out. Here are some ways you can enjoy the thrills without counting the cost: 1. Buy tickets online Most major theme parks let you buy tickets online and these are often cheaper than the prices at the gate. Alton Towers, the UK s biggest theme park, charges around 20 less for online tickets than it does at the front gates, and that s a saving that can make a big difference to your day out. Take your lunch with you Theme park catering can be expensive, and it s not always the sort of food you want to eat. Save money by packing a picnic there s nearly always somewhere nice to sit and eat - and your time is better spent queuing for rides than for food. Be aware that most theme parks will...
Washington Redskins Runner Back Out Of The Field
The running back position of the Washington Redskins, Clinton Portis got injured in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals the last Sunday night when he dislocated his left shoulder during the match. Suddenly the football player sees himself in the sidelines for an indefinite period. According with Redskins coach Joe Gibbs, it s hard to say how much time is Portis going to be out of the field, but it will take a while. Now after the 19-3 losses the only things Portis can do is watch and wait to have a good recovery and get back on the field. Portis is the owner of a 1,516 yards record which last season placed the Redskins on the playoffs when they played as a wild-card team. Now the team is just wondering how they will handle the season without its best running back on the field. Actually Clinton, as a player, probably feels disappointed and disturbed, is not really easy to be out of the game field when playing means maybe...
Fresh Inspirations: Having It All--yes. You Can!
Not true we can have it all, once we establish what our own personal all is. Most of us don t really enjoy being pulled in multiple directions at once and multitasking ourselves into the ground, instead if we follow a simple rule of thumb about focus and choose only three major life priorities, at any given time, and let the rest go, it gets much easier. In determining our priorities some of us may have some automatics in this like our families. This means that we create a life that allows time with our families and makes them significant as a priority. By the same token, you may say your career or one aspect of your career is also your priority and you may include a fun pursuit like sports or gardening as another priority. The beauty in this approach is that we can change our priorities at any point in time because they are ours. We are not living our lives according to society or to someone else. This isn t about what our...
The Fear Of Expressing Anger
There is much to learn from anger, yet many people are afraid of this feeling because they don t know how to express anger in ways that are helpful rather than harmful. I teach a process at my weekend Inner Bonding workshops called The Anger Process. This powerful process, which is described below, is not only for releasing pent-up anger in harmless ways, but for discovering what your responsibility is in any conflict with another person. Often, when I describe this process in a workshop, some people get anxious and want to leave. They are afraid of anger and of expressing their anger. This is invariably because they come from a family where one or both of their parents or other caregivers were angry in a mean, violent way a way that caused harm to others. These people are so afraid of being like their mother or father that they repress their anger, taking it out on themselves instead of others. Neither dumping anger on...
